Software Tool Usage

The tool that I am using, and I love to use, is Microsoft Power Point. While in elementary-high school, I have seen Power Point being used everyday. There are many ways to use Power Point, teachers can use it for students to copy down notes, teach a lesson, do review, etc. It is also a great way for students to do/make their own presentations. Each Power Point is different because there are many creative add-ons for creating a presentation. Students can do book reports, projects. tutorials, etc.all on Power Point.

A creative way to use Power Point is to use it like flashcards. It is a great review technique. One slide will be the word and the next slide will be the definition of that word. This could be used as a class review, by students raising their hand if they know the definition. It can also be used at home to study or even assigned as homework for students to create their own vocabulary Power Point. It is very simple, yet helpful while learning.

Attached to this post is a Power Point example of what these flashcards could look like.
